About The Series
The Bully Pulpit Series at the College of Charleston encourages and facilitates political participation throughout the campus community by providing a platform for dialogue with our nation's leaders. Through town hall events with political candidates, voter registration drives, student debates, hosted media events, unique campus service opportunities, and relevant independent study experiences, The Bully Pulpit Series reinforces the message that the growth of our country is backed and guided by the process of citizen interest and involvement.
Since its inception in 2008, the non-partisan series has hosted over a dozen presidential candidates and eight major media events during presidential election seasons. Series' guests have included President Barack Obama, Senator John McCain, Speaker Newt Gingrich, Senator Ron Paul, Governor Mitt Romney, Senator John Edwards as well as many other presidential candidates, elected officials and media personalities.

The College of Charleston is a nationally recognized, public liberal arts and sciences university located in the heart of Charleston, South Carolina.
